The current iteration of this landmark agreement, which contains 10 goals and 31 outcomes related to blue crabs, water quality, land protection and more, was signed in 2014, and many of those outcomes have a deadline of 2025. The Beyond 2025 Steering Committee recommends strengthening the Chesapeake Bay Program by identifying ways to simplify and streamline the partnership's structure and processes, including potential changes to the Chesapeake Bay Program's Governance and Management Framework to ensure that partner commitments can be met.
